Switch off those laptops- dont just put them in standby. When leaving work, atleast switch off your monitors. Switch off the air conditioning when you leave home...
I used to live in an apartment where all utilities (including electricity were paid) so me and my roomies would never switch off anything in the house. And that's a big no-no when it comes to conserving energy.

and then there are people who sleep with the A.C. switched on while the windows are open too...
